What Makes Up Your Abdomen

There are four main muscles which creates the foundation of your abdomen and affect your posture. Here are the muscles which are the deepest (closest to the spine) to the most superficial: transverse abdominal muscle, internal obliques, external obliques, and rectus abdominis. The closer the muscles is to the spine, the greater affect it has in support your spine and posture. Keeping these “core” muscles healthy and conditioned will ensure a healthy spine.
